ARISE YOUTH GROUP

Every Saturday from 4-6 pm

Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

Psalm 119:105

Calling all youth to ARISE! We gather every Saturday, from 4 pm to 6 pm. Our desire is to see the youth grow in their faith by providing a safe and fun environment that will inspire a hunger for God’s word and prepare their hearts to serve. It’s a special time for our youth to learn more about Jesus and their identity in Christ. We believe this season of life is pivotal in building a foundation of faith and in fostering Christ-centered relationships. We pray that this weekly time together provides the space for that.  As Elijah was surrounded by enemies, God cared for him and called him to arise. God showed him that he was not alone in the fight. We pray that youth group would have this same effect on our youth, that they would know who God is, why He’s worthy of trust and their lives, and that they can boldly stand together as salt and light in this world.

“Elijah was afraid and ran for his life. When he came to Beersheba in Judah, he left his servant there, while he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness. He came to a broom bush, sat down under it and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, Lord,” he said. “Take my life; I am no better than my ancestors.” Then he lay down under the bush and fell asleep. All at once an angel touched him and said, “Get up and eat.” He looked around, and there by his head was some bread baked over hot coals, and a jar of water. He ate and drank and then lay down again. The angel of the Lord came back a second time and touched him and said, “Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you.” So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he traveled forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God.” 1 Kings 19:3-8
